Undoubtedly the world's greatest rail journey, the Trans Siberian Railway runs like a steel ribbon connecting east and west from Moscow over the Urals, across the magnificent Russian steppes and alongside the shore of the world's largest freshwater lake where another well known rail route the Trans-Mongolian Railway begins. By the time your rail journey ends, you will have passed through three spectacularly unique countries and experienced a variety of cultures.
