Russian exhibition centre opened in 1939 featuring monuments to Soviet Science, fountains and an amusement park including the largest big wheel in Europe.  The park also contains over 80 pavillions, 15 of which represent a particular Soviet Republic.  The museum of Astronautics is also located within VDNKh, featuring the first ever astronauts – stuffed dogs Belka and Strelka.
